So, why the name Blue Norther? While reading Timothy Egan's "The Worst Hard Time," I thought about the difficult times depicted in journal entries from those who lived through the "Dirty Thirties" and this weather phenomena stuck out to me. I think I made a connection that made me want to find the beauty or good in even the worst of times and bask in the good times. That's what I want my work to represent.
